Human Support Services (HSS) provides ongoing case management services for adults who cannot fully manage their responsibilities due to mental health and/or developmental-related issues. Staff will provide linkage, monitoring, coordination and assessment for the client to guide them toward a successful recovery or to assist them in their efforts to live as independently as possible. Assistance in managing financial responsibilities is available. There is generally no cost to the individual for these services.
Adults with Mental Health Needs
HSS provides case managers that offer linkage, monitoring, coordination and assessment for the adults who need assistance to remain in the community and to guide them toward a successful recovery.
Linkage for Developmentally Disabled Adults
HSS staff can help link developmentally disabled adults with the regional source for case management services, Southern Illinois Case Coordination. An HSS staff member will provide guidance and can offer supports locally that supplement the services from Southern Illinois Case Coordination.
Financial Case Management
Many individuals who experience mental illness or who are developmentally disabled benefit from assistance in managing their finances. HSS provides financial case management to individuals in need, including protective payee services.
